Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to your data when you write to Xenio Linguae. In short: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and makes no third-party requests. The only thing processed is the email you choose to send.

What data is processed

This site has no forms. Nothing is collected while you browse: no cookies, no analytics, no pixels, and nothing is loaded from third-party servers.

The only data processed is what you voluntarily put in an email: your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message.

Purpose and legal basis

Purpose: to read your message and reply to it.

Legal basis: GDPR article 6(1)(b) — steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract — when you ask about lessons or a translation; article 6(1)(f), the legitimate interest in replying to people who write in, otherwise.

Your data is not used to send you marketing. Nothing is shared or sold.

Processors

Hosting: Cloudflare, Inc. provides hosting and content delivery for this site and, as part of that, processes IP addresses and request metadata.

Email: Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.), within the EU data boundary. Any email you send passes through its infrastructure on its way to the inbox.

No Google Analytics, no advertising networks, no embedded social media content.

Retention

Messages are kept for as long as the conversation lasts and for up to twelve months after the last exchange, unless there is a legal obligation to keep them longer. They are deleted after that.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (GDPR articles 15 to 21) by writing to info [at] xeniolinguae.com. You will get a reply within one month.

Complaints

If you think your data has not been handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), the competent supervisory authority.

Before that, you are welcome to write directly to info [at] xeniolinguae.com — almost everything gets settled that way.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only, with encrypted transport and a strict content security policy that blocks external resources from loading.
