Cloé Dos Santos FilgueiraLanguage teacher · TranslatorLearn, improve, grow in confidence

I teach languages and translate, from Galicia, online or in person. I work with each person on their own — their pace, their goals — because no two people learn a language the same way.

Who I am

I was born between languages and ended up teaching them

I was born in Switzerland, French is my mother tongue, and I grew up between Portuguese and Spanish roots. Languages were always around the house long before they were a school subject.

That mix is what led me to train as a teacher. I like working closely with people, and I like the moment someone stops translating in their head and simply talks.

These days I teach people starting from nothing, people who need to catch up on a subject, and people who already get by but want to finally loosen up.

Services

Learn with purpose

Three ways we can work together, all one to one and shaped around you. Pick whichever suits you.

  • Language lessons

Private lessons, one to one, online or in person. We prepare whatever you need — conversation, grammar, a specific exam, or simply getting over the fear of speaking.

  • School support

Because studying is not just doing your homework. I work with primary, secondary and sixth-form students across the whole year, not only the week before the exam.

    • Primary
    • Secondary
    • Sixth form
    • Strengthen languages — English, French, Spanish and Galician
    • Improve comprehension and working method
    • Prepare for exams
    • Organise study time
    • Build confidence and independence
  • Translation

Translation between French, Spanish, Portuguese and English. Tell me what the text is and what it is for, and I will tell you honestly whether it is a job for me.

How we work

Not much theory, and a lot of wanting it to click

I do not have a fixed method to apply to everyone. I have a way of working.

  • Undivided attention

It is you and me. I prepare every lesson for the person who is going to have it, and if something is not working, we change it.

  • A lesson that moves

You speak from day one. Grammar turns up when you need it to say something, not as a list to memorise.

  • Real results

Concrete goals we can review — an exam, an interview, a conversation that makes you uncomfortable today. You will know whether you are getting anywhere.

Online or in person

Pick whichever suits you best. Online lessons work just as well, which means where you live stops being the problem.
